Santa Fe Imaging performs diagnostic imaging studies read by the physicians of Santa Fe Radiology, PC for medical practitioners and patients of New Mexico. Through the leadership of SFI’s Board of Directors, Santa Fe Radiology physicians direct the mission and quality of all services provided by our facility.

Daily operations are managed by the Director of Imaging Services and his professional staff. A strong focus on customer service for patients, physicians and medical office staff who use our services is at the heart of everything we do. We attempt to accommodate patient requests for appointment dates and times – including same-day visits when possible; we do everything in our power to perform and report “STAT” studies when needed; and we frequently adjust our exam hours as schedules fill up so that wait times for needed medical studies remain reasonably short.

Santa Fe Imaging currently has two facilities– our main facility in Santa Fe, and an MRI facility in Los Alamos.

You have a choice when it comes to where to have your diagnostic imaging tests performed. In that case, why should you choose to come here?

Santa Fe Imaging is a world-class medical imaging and interventional radiology center.

Here, you’ll find the same high quality imaging tests and less invasive treatment procedures found in large metropolitan areas, but with a very big difference: At Santa Fe Imaging, it’s all about the patient experience.

Patient Focused Service

These days, everyone claims to put patients first. But we all know this is never really the case. Santa Fe Imaging is different. We consistently deliver on the promise of a better patient experience with our unique, three-step philosophy.

STEP 1

Did you know that at many hospitals and imaging centers, your test is interpreted by someone who isn’t even present where you undergo your examination? In some cases, they may even be located out-of-state.

We have the largest team of subspecialty-trained radiologists in the region, who live and work right here in Santa Fe. Subspecialty training typically involves an additional year of focused training in a specific area of the body (e.g. breast imaging). While this extra training isn’t required to interpret test results, but we believe it adds an extra measure of diagnostic confidence for our patients and the physicians who care for them.

And because we’re here, our radiologists are available to consult with you and your doctor whenever we’re needed.

STEP 2

You know there’s a difference between a fine dining experience and a cafeteria. When you go to a nice restaurant, you’re greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable host who honors your reservation. You are escorted to your table. The menu is explained, and you are served quality food in a timely manner. During the entire meal, your comfort and well-being are looked after.

We at Santa Fe Imaging believe this should be just like the experience visiting us. When you call to make an appointment, you should be greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable person that will make every effort to accommodate your busy schedule and find a suitable appointment time. We already know you’re coming, so it isn’t fair to make you wait in a room for hours before your test. You should be looked after the entire time you’re with us, not left alone and wondering what to do next.

We’ll take the time to answer your questions, ease your concerns and ensure your comfort during your short visit with us.

STEP 3

At Santa Fe Imaging, our responsibility for your care doesn’t end when you leave our center and a report is sent to your doctor.

Some medical conditions are more complex, and in such cases we will proactively contact your doctor or specialist to consult with them. If you don’t have a specialist, but your imaging test has determined that you need one, we will follow up with you to ensure you have the right team in place looking after you.

Over time, more doctors may need access to your imaging tests. You may decide to move out of the area. Or you might change doctors at some point in the future. We maintain an extensive image archiving system that is easily and instantaneously accessed by your authorized caregivers.

In short, just because you aren’t here doesn’t mean that we stop caring for you.
